Public launch
CYR is an early-stage public service. Features, inventory coverage and wording may change as the service improves, but CYR should not present unavailable evidence or unsupported conclusions as fact.
CYR Marine launch terms
These terms cover the current public launch. Find a Boat and Check a Boat can be used without payment. The £50 Pre-Survey Intelligence Report can be requested through the site; submitting the request does not take payment or start paid work. If CYR accepts the request, timing and the available payment arrangement are confirmed before any paid work starts.
Use the public tools safely
You may use genuine public boat-advert links and public listing information. Do not upload passwords, payment or banking information, identity documents, confidential records, private seller communications or sensitive personal information through the public Find, Check, feedback, report-request or broker forms.
Public and account-only areas
Find a Boat, Check a Boat, the sample report, CYR Marine Brief and account-free feedback are public launch tools. Private cross-device saved records, My Boats, workspaces and Yacht Passports are currently limited to invited accounts. Availability may change and CYR does not guarantee that third-party adverts remain live or complete.
Advert facts and responsibility
Boat adverts, photographs and broker pages belong to their respective publishers. CYR may organise public or buyer-supplied facts but does not verify ownership, condition, availability or seller claims. Check critical facts with the seller and qualified professionals before travelling, offering, paying a deposit or buying.
Decision support
CYR organises information and supports clearer decisions. It does not replace a qualified surveyor, engineer, broker, lawyer, insurer, finance professional or other professional adviser.
£50 Pre-Survey Intelligence Report requests
Submitting a report request is not a payment and does not by itself create a purchase contract. CYR first reviews the genuine listing to decide whether a useful manual report can be provided. If the request is accepted, CYR confirms the expected delivery timing and the payment arrangement available at that time. Paid work starts only after the buyer has agreed the next step and payment has been completed.
Cancellation and starting work
Applicable statutory cancellation and refund rights are not excluded. When payment processing is available and a buyer proceeds, CYR will ask the buyer to expressly request that the agreed service may begin during the 14-day cancellation period where applicable. If the buyer cancels after work has begun, CYR may charge a proportionate amount for work supplied up to cancellation where the law permits. The cancellation right may end once the service has been performed in full following the buyer's express request and acknowledgement.
